NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Gigi's Cupcakes is commemorating five years of business in the Nashville community. Founder and owner Gina "Gigi" Butler is developing some big plans to celebrate. Gina and her team will be distributing 5,000 cupcakes to the Nashville community. She will personally be delivering the sweet treats as a "thank you" to all of her supporters who've contributed to her success throughout the city in her custom Gigi's Cupcakes tour bus.
The first 500 customers who come into the Nashville location at 1816 Broadway and the Cool Springs location at 1000 Meridian Boulevard will also receive free cupcakes on Thursday. Butler moved to Nashville in 1994 from California to follow her dreams as a musician, but she took her love for baking and decided to take a gamble.
Butler opened her first cupcake boutique in Nashville on February 21, 2008 on Broadway and immediately found sweet success. Butler started with $33 in the bank and five years later her stores gross $33 million in sales, with 84 stores and counting nationwide.
Gigi's offers a variety of custom flavored cupcakes such as Apple Spice & Everything Nice, Boston Cream, Coconut Snowball, Lemon Dream Supreme, Hunka Chunka Banana Love and Cookies & Cream. Gigi's Cupcakes is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
