The interest in bringing a Gigi’s Cupcakes to Beavercreek began when owners Bob and Kathy Schumann realized that one year after Bob’s retirement from 35 years of working at Hobart Corporation in Troy, Ohio, Bob needed something else to do. We started investigating businesses for sale, but nothing seemed to fit. Then
one day our youngest daughter called and said, “Come to Lexington, I
have found the business for you and you are going to love it!
Bob investigated Gigi’s and traveled to many of the existing stores to see the product and talk to the owners. We bought several from each store and the look and taste left us wanting to try more. Bob finally drove to Lexington and attended our Grandsons’ 4th birthday party at
daycare, where Kelley had provided Gigi’s cupcakes for the class. Bob stood in awe watching the eyes of the children as they saw the cupcakes come out of the box. Teachers were just taken away with the presentation and the taste. When
the children finished, it could not have been a more joyful experience
to see icing from ear to ear and the biggest giggles and smiles as well.
Bob and I met with Gigi’s a short time later and instantly all of us agreed on the new store in Beavercreek, Ohio. The rest is history. This opportunity is a dream for us that many people never have. We wanted something that we could do together that would bring happiness to ourselves as well as our customers. How can anyone not be happy eating one of these gorgeously delicious cupcakes? Our plan is to bring joy and
happiness to the Beavercreek area one cupcake at a time.
