Judy Kenney and Lee St. John, Owners
As the owners of Gigi’s Cupcakes of Kennesaw and Gigi's Cupcakes of Marietta, we would like to share our dream. After spending most of our lives working for large corporations we wanted to take our combined years of business experience and by working together start a company that would deliver a high quality product, offer outstanding service, and add value to the community.
We looked at many different business opportunities but when we came across Gigi’s Cupcakes we immediately knew this is the one! Who would not fall in love with a business that brought to life memories of our own childhood?
We are blessed with wonderful parents who loved good old southern cooking. Every meal and dessert was lovingly made from recipes handed down by family and friends and made with the best available ingredients. For us, that smell of fresh baked wholesome food was always a part of family reunions and cherished Holiday gatherings.
As we've opened the store, we see and experience that same feeling of baked from scratch goodness and pride in the Gigi’s Cupcakes products. It’s as if Gigi’s were an extension of our family heritage.
Thank you Gina Butler, founder of Gigi’s Cupcakes, for living your dream and sharing your concept with us. At Gigi’s Cupcakes of Marietta, Georgia, we want to bring the Gigi’s experience to Cobb County and all of our friends in metro-Atlanta by offering you and your family our cupcakes made with loving care, one cupcake at a time. Our dream is to share that same fresh baked wholesome goodness of our youth so that Gigi’s might become a part of your family’s tradition and of great memories yet to come.
So come see us and give us a swirl! We look forward to serving you.
Gigi's of Georgia raises $4200 for cancer research
Gigi's says their cupcakes are baked with love, and during Childhood Awareness Month, they proved it.
Every Saturday in September, each Georgia Gigi's location baked special "Gold Ribbon" cupcakes, and all proceeds from the sale of those cupcakes were donated to CURE Childhood Cancer. Customers who purchased these cupcakes were entered into a drawing each week for an autographed baseball signed by 2014 Hall of Fame inductee and former Atlanta Braves pitcher, Tom Glavine. At the end of the month, customers were entered to win an autographed photo of Glavine.
"Thanks to the enthusiastic support of our fans, Gigi's gave away 32 baseballs, eight photos, and, more importantly, raised $4,200.00 to help fund childhood cancer research! ," said Deena Coughlin, owner of Gigi's at The Forum.
The check was presented today to Kristin Connor, Executive Director of CURE, by Coughlin (owner of Gigi’s at The Forum) and Judy Kenney (owner of Gigi’s Marietta/Kennesaw). Not pictured were participating owners Sarah Harberts (Buckhead/Peachtree City), Bobbi Zastre (Athens), Gil Lyons (Sandy Springs), and Jennifer Cooper (Columbus).
